You’ve got a large Christmas to-watch list and you're after a change of scenery from your sitting room, why not try some of the ultimate Christmas cinemas? Whether its family favourites such as Elf or rom-coms like Love Actually, these festive cinema experiences are just what you need to kick start the Christmas season.

The Luna Winter Cinema, Various Locations

View your winter favourites at the UK’s premier outdoor cinema; The Luna Cinema. Screenings are being held at a number of stunning and fully heated indoor locations including Kensington Palace, Earth Evolutionary Arts Hackney and Alexandra Palace.

Enjoy Christmas classics cosied up with the warm comforts of mulled wine, minced pies and hot chocolate.

Tickets are reasonably priced, ranging from £9.25 -£25 so make sure to book these in advance to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Floating Film Festival, St Katharine Docks

Back this December, you can once again enjoy movie favourites in this week-long film festival. Starting on Monday 3rd December until Sunday 9th December, films to note include Elf, Home Alone and Arthur Christmas.

Board the floating platform fully equipped with bean bags, cosy blankets and sweet treats so that you can stay warm and indulge with loved ones. Although outdoors there’s no need to worry about weather conditions as the platform is fully covered by a tent.


The Cinema in the Snow, Hackney Showroom

Pop up screens return to Hackney Showroom this year, transforming the space into a winter wonderland and cinema in the snow. Access via magical wardrobe with falling snow and treat yourself to homemade chocolate brownies, mulled wine and popcorn. Festive cinemas can’t get much better than that!

The first screening will be on the 13th December and will run up until Sunday 23rd December. Tickets are £20 for adults and £10 for children under the age of 10.


Frozen Island at Neighbourhood Cinema, Covent Garden

Situated in Covent Garden, Neighbourhood Cinema boasts a ‘magical winter paradise’ in the heart of London. This pop-up venue has an enchanted frozen island theme and attendees will find themselves in a world of frosted palm trees, icicles and giant snow globes.

The pop-up will be open for 3 months with additional features to enjoy such as winter themed cocktails from the ice bar, food and VIP screening cabins. Perfect for a fun family outing or drinks filled evening with friends.


Backyard Cinema's Snowman Experience at Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland

If you’ve already visited Winter Wonderland this year and are looking for excuses to go again, Backyard Cinemas Snowman Experience could be just the thing!

This 45 minute experience is a twist on traditional cinema, offering a multi-roomed, multi-sensory cinematic walk through experience of the snowman. Relive childhood memories and feel as though you are in the movie itself with real life sets and characters. That beats sitting in your front room!
