Spotlight On: New York Fashion Week AW19

Author Editor - 1 minute read

On Thursday 7th February, for the third time, we debuted our new Autumn/Winter 2019 collection during New York Fashion Week.

In a retro house-party style evening at Lower East Side hotspot, The Flower Shop, the models sported vintage-inspired pieces with bold prints, plenty of mini dresses and even more sparkle. Thanks to The Flower Shop’s wood-panelled walls and the pink fireplace, it was the perfect backdrop for us to celebrate our upcoming collection.

With our design team drawing upon the street style stars of New York for inspiration, they also sought a creative lead from the history of the city during the 60’ and 70’s, thanks to its ever-changing attitudes and the rise of cocktail culture. After all, bright lights and late nights call for iconic, stand out sparkle, bold prints and dramatic furs.

Your new swoon-worthy colour palette comes in the form of warm berry tones, rustic browns and forest greens - all of which provide serious nostalgia for the 70's. Reminiscent of New York diner and pool table culture, complementary pops of colour are found in lipstick red and electric blue.

Posing at five different lifestyle stations throughout the venue, models were able to interact with guests, whilst enjoying some of their favourite things; playing pool, sipping champagne and listening to the jukebox.

We invited DJ extraordinaire Pamela Katz to the party to play feel-good tunes as our VIPs mingled and danced whilst sipping made to order cocktails.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad way to spend a Thursday evening...
