The Wedding Planner: Tips For Your Bridal Mani-Pedi

Author Editor - 2 minute read

When thinking of the things that are most important to anyone planning their wedding look, we knew that beauty treatments would be a top priority. Not only for looking for your best on your big day, but for that much needed stress relief beforehand as well. We caught up with the experts at award-winning beauty brand, London Grace, and got them to shed some light on the do's and dont's of bridal mani-pedi's.

A mani-pedi completes any beauty look, but particularly for a bride where the eye is in the details (including the ring exchange where the hands take centre stage!) London Grace is an award-winning beauty brand that combines a nail bar, cocktail bar and coffee shop to create a social beauty experience. Reserve a treatment table for you and your bridal party and enjoy being pampered, whilst ordering tipples from the cocktail menu! There's even the option to hire their Grace Space private party room for groups of 7 or more guests, where you can have a 'bride-to-be Afternoon Tea' or 'Pizza and Prosecco' party alongside your treatments.

What Colour Should I Go For?

When it comes to the bride's mani-pedi, it's important to have an idea of colours in advance. Ideally you should visit a couple of months before to choose a colour and ensure it works with your skin tone and wedding colour theme etc.

What Type Of Polish Should I Opt For?

If you like regular polish then you should book in as close to the big day as possible (ideally the day before) to avoid any premature chipping situations. For a longer lasting mani-pedi, CND Shellac is the lightest gel polish on the market, which will provide up to 2 weeks of chip-free wear without damaging your nails. For a Shellac treatment, London Grace recommend visiting a couple of days before your wedding, so that there's not too much re-growth for the big day.

What Are A Lot Of Brides Asking For At The Moment?

Nude nails with a squoval shape is one of the most asked for options. Additionally, the most popular bridal gel manicure at London Grace is the Top Notch gel treatment with a glitter nail accent. The colour 'Cashmere Wrap' suits almost every skin tone, then a glitter pigment is applied to the ring finger for a subtle, but eye-catching look.

Any Other Tips?

You should purchase the polish colour after the treatment for any emergency touch ups! In particular, we recommend the 'Mabel' shade. To keep your manicure looking fresh for the honeymoon, London Grace recommend regularly applying a moisturising cuticle oil to keep those nails nourished.
